Students step into the role of water professionals as they investigate real Orange County water challenges, such as PFAS, drought, or saltwater intrusion. Students analyze evidence, develop recommendations for local water providers, and explore careers involved in protecting and managing Orange County’s water supply.

Partner-Funded Program

Orange County Water Investigators is offered at no cost to eligible schools, funded by the Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC) and the Family of Orange County Water Providers.

Funding is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Teachers must submit a grant application to be considered for the program. Submission of an application does not guarantee funding or program availability.
