Become a botanist for the day! During this immersive field trip, students investigate how plants survive and thrive in different environments. Through hands-on explorations, students compare habitats, identify native plants, discover how seeds are dispersed, and explore the important relationships between plants, animals, and pollinators that keep ecosystems healthy.
Field Investigations
- Habitat Exploration: Compare two different habitats, collect environmental data, and use field guides to identify native plants.
- Seed Dispersal Investigation: Discover how animals help transport seeds and support healthy plant communities.
- Plant & Animal Connections: Meet live animal ambassadors and explore how plants and animals depend on one another for food, shelter, and survival.
- Pollinator Investigation: Investigate how flowers and pollinators work together by matching flower structures with the animals that pollinate them.
